FORT WORTH, Texas -- FootballScoop.com has named TCU's Mike Sinquefield as its 2011 Director of Football Operations of the Year.

Sinquefield is in his 11th season in his current position and 17th year overall at TCU. Prior to taking over his director of football operations role when Gary Patterson became head coach, Sinquefield served six seasons as the Horned Frogs' equipment manager.

Among a myriad of responsibilities, Sinquefield's duties include office management and administration, coordinating team travel and recruiting visitations and serving as a liaison with various university departments.

"Mike is the reason why I can just be a football coach," Patterson said. "He works 24 hours a day to make everyone's job easier. Whether it's our administration or bowl representatives, everyone who works with Mike loves him."

Sinquefield is a native of LaPlace, La. A 1992 graduate of LSU, he worked at East Carolina for three years before arriving at TCU.
