Corpening matched his career-high by competing in 11 tournaments during his junior campaign and notched a career-best 74.03 strokes average... claimed his first-ever collegiate tournament victory by firing a four-under 212 (72-70-70) at the Memphis Intercollegiate after draining a birdie in the event's final hole to record a one-stroke victory... became the 10th different Horned Frogs player in the past decade to earn a gold medal in a tournament event... tied for 30th overall with a 54-hole even-par score of 216 (73-71-72) at the Carpet Capital Collegiate... tied for 38th overall at the CordeValle Collegaite with a one-over tally of 217 (72-72-73)... guided the Purple and White to a pair of runner-up finishes in two of the team's first three events of the season at the Inverness Intercollegiate and Memphis Intercollegiate... notched a 73.67 strokes average during the Frogs' fall campaign... collected a season-best round score of 69 in the final round of the UH Hilo Intercollegiate - which was his second career sub-70 round... collected 10 even-par rounds during his junior campaign.

2005-06 [Sophomore Season]
The TCU sophomore appeared in 11 tournaments and notched a 74.07 strokes average over the course of 30 rounds during his second season... finished among the top-20 on three occasions - including a pair of top-10 showings... opened the season with a sixth-place finish at the Cleveland State Invitational with a 54-hole score of 217 (71-72-72)... tied for seventh overall at the National Invitational Tournament with a four-under score of 212 (71-70-71) - just one week after withdrawing from the Hall of Fame Invitational due to injury... recorded his second straight top-20 finish with a share of 17th-place at the Morris Williams Intercollegiate with a 54-hole score of 217 (74-72-71).... Had his top-20 string snapped by one stroke at the U.S. Collegiate Championships as he tied for 21st overall with a tournament tally of 222 (75-74-73)... posted the Frogs' lowest round of the season with a 68 in the final round of the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate en route to tying for 32nd overall with a tournament score of 215 (74-73-68)... notched nine rounds of 72 or better during his junior campaign with the Frogs.

2004-05 [Freshman Season]
Corpening appeared in six collegiate tournaments in his first campaign with the nationally-ranked Horned Frogs... notched a 76.00 strokes average over the course of 18 rounds of action... garnered a top-20 finish in his collegiate debut at The Ridges Intercollegiate where he posted a 54-hole score of 218 (71-75-71)... earned a spot on the Purple and White's traveling squad that competed at the prestigious Ping/Golfweek NCAA Preview where he tied for 50th overall with a score of 224 (74-73-77)... fired a season-best score of 70 in the second round of the Waikiloa Intercollegiate - which was his second straight under-par round in the event.

The local standout advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2007 North & South Amateur Match Play at Pinehurst... finished with a share of 30th-place at the 2006 Scratch Players' Championships... competed in the 2006 Southern Amateur... qualified for the 2005 U.S. Amateur at the Merion Golf Club where he notched a two-round score of 152 in stroke play... tied for 35th overall at the 2005 Southern Amateur after a 72-hole score of 290... won the 2004 Collegiate Players Tour (CPT) National Championships by a 54-hole score of 211 (71-69-71)... placed 10th overall at the 2004 CPT at San Antonio after firing a score of 68 over the final 18 holes of competition... collected a 12th-place showing at the 2004 CPT at Willowbrook... garnered gold medal honors at the 2003 Fort Worth City Junior Boys' Championships with a four-round score of 274... finished fifth overall at the 2003 Fort Worth Men's City Tournament with a 54-holes score of 208 (66-69-73)... participated in the 2002 U.S. Junior Amateur after earning medalist honors at the local qualifier.

Corpening was a four-year standout who finished his prep career for Trampas Wilson at Fort Worth's R.L.
