1999-00 (Sophomore)
Played in a career-high 13 events during the season and set a then-personal best with a 72.60 scoring average over 40 rounds...improved his average by nearly three full strokes from his freshman season...had the best finish of his Horned Frog career when he tied for fourth at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational with a 211...started the fall season on fire, taking eighth place at The Ridges (218) and 18th at the William H. Tucker (220)...also placed in the top 10 at the Waikoloa Intercollegiate, grabbing a share of seventh place with a three-round 214...shot a personal-best round of 67 at the Red River Classic, a tournament in which he finished 23rd...closed in 10th position at the WAC Championships to help him earn all-conference accolades for the first time in his career...landed an impressive team-best 20th-place showing at the NCAA Championships as TCU grabbed an 11th-place national finish...had a 72-hole total of 283 (72-71-69-71) in the competition to lead the Frogs to their third-best finish all-time.

Was thrown into immediate action as a college freshman, playing in 12 tournaments and 36 rounds...posted a scoring average of 75.33, which was the best among all TCU freshmen...earned one top-20 finish on the season, tying for 19th at the WAC Championships with a 54-hole score of 227...led TCU individually at the WAC tourney with scores of 77, 78 and 72...was remarkably consistent on the year, recording four consecutive 38th-place or 39th-place finishes in the fall...started off the spring season by shooting a 231 at the Waikoloa Intercollegiate to tie for 27th individually...achieved a season-low round of 70 on two occasions during the year...completed his season at the NCAA Central Regional when he shot a three-round total of 225 to share 46th place.

Was the North Dakota state high school golf champion in 1997 and 1998...used his individual title in 1998 to lead Shanley High School to a state team championship...was named all-state and all-conference in each of his four prep campaigns.

Advanced to the round of 16 at the 1999 Western Championships...was victorious at the 1999 Pine to Palm Tournament...claimed the individual title at the North Dakota State Match Play Championships in both 1998 and 1999...qualified for match play at the 2000 U.S. Amateur...earned the right to play in the 2001 U.S. Amateur by winning the qualifier in Fargo, N.D. with a two-round score of 141...advanced to the match play portion of the competition after registering an even-par 142 in the two-day stroke play event to finish tied for 35th among 312 participants...reached the round of 32 at the stroke play portion of the 2001 U.S. Amateur after defeating 27th-seeded Jay Morgan...was bumped out of the tournament by sixth-seeded Camilo Villegas by a 1-up score.
