• Posted his first career top-10 finish at The Ridges, carding an even-par 216.
• Narrowly missed a top-20 landing with a 21st-place finish at the NCAA Preview.
• Tied for 24th after a career-low three-round total of 211 (-2) at the Jerry Pate.
• Had sub-70 rounds in six of his 15 rounds on the year and had a career-best 68 at the Waikoloa Intercollegiate.

2003-04 (Sophomore Year)
• Played in two events as a sophomore, recording a 74.83 stroke average over six rounds of play.
• Best result was a tie for 41st at The Ridges with a 54-hole score of 223 (+7).

2002-03 (Freshman Year)
• Appeared in three tournaments for the Horned Frogs in his true freshman season.
• Owned a scoring average of 77.56 on the year in his nine rounds.
• Had his best score and finish at the Sooner Invitational as he tied for 44th place with a 54-hole 225 (+9).
• Finished in a tie for 50th at The Ridges Intercollegiate in September, his first collegiate tournament.

• Was a four-year letterman at Plano West High School for head coach Rick Hardison.
• Named most improved player in 2001 and team most valuable player in 2002.
• Placed third at the 2001 Texas State Tournament and second place at Texas' 2002 Championships.

• Competed in the U.S. Amateur for the second straight year in 2004.
• Qualified for the 2003 U.S. Amateur and fired rounds of 74 and 75, but did not advance to match play.
• Placed 35th at the 2004 Southwestern Amateur with a 72-hole sum of 295.
• Was a finalist at the Cotton States Amateur in the summer of 2003.
• Tied for eighth at the 2003 Southwest Amateur after scores of 70-67-68-70.
• Was rated 33rd in the Golfweek/Sagarin Boys Rankings when he signed with the Horned Frogs.
• Was a two-time American Junior Golf Association All-American.
