PONTE VEDRA, Fla.—Senior Scott Roudebush led the TCU men’s golf team Monday through a tough scoring day during Round 2 at the John Hayt Collegiate Invitational at Sawgrass Country Club. The tournament concludes Tuesday.
 
The Frogs, who shared the team lead with Auburn following day one action at -6, combined for a 16-over-par 304 Monday to slip back into a tie for fifth place at +10. Auburn still leads the tournament at +1 following a tough day of its own. LSU, Arkansas and Tennessee are all tied for second place seven strokes back at +8.
 
Roudebush fired what was one of only 17 rounds of 73 or better and currently sits in a tie for eight place at -1 for the tournament. He climbed up from his previous standing of 12th place (-2) following Sunday’s opening round and is only four strokes back of the individual leader, Florida’s Phillip Choi (-5).
 
Sophomore Pontus Gad, who shared the TCU team lead at -3 with junior teammate Johan de Beer entering the day, slipped back into a tie for 16th place at +2 following a five-over par 77, while de Beer shot a six-over 78 and is at +3, which is tied for 20th.
 
Senior Tom Hoge concluded the TCU scoring with a four-over par 76 and is tied for 36th at +6. Junior Eli Cole finished the day at +18 after shooting 84.
 
The John Hayt Collegiate Invitational continues Monday with holes No. 37 through 54, as the TCU contingent is scheduled to tee off at 8:45 a.m. ET. Live results for the tournament are available on Golfstat.com.
