FINAL RESULTS (GOLFSTAT.COM)

LAS VEGAS, Nev.—Senior Johan de Beer led TCU Sunday during the final round of play at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters at Southern Highlands Golf Club, earning a top-20 finish for the second straight tournament.

TCU finished the weekend in 12th place with a three-day total of 904. The Horned Frogs placed ahead of one ranked squad, No. 42 Texas Tech. Each of the teams in front of TCU are rated among the nations top 25 according to the latest Golfweek/Sagarin national rankings.

Tournament host UNLV collected the team championship (+8), while the Rebels’ Blake Biddle finished atop the individual leaderboard by one shot at -4.

Leading TCU in the final round was de Beer, who tied for 15th place at +5 following a 4-over par 76 on Sunday. Freshman Julien Brun struggled throughout the day, falling into a share for 33rd place at +10 after shooting 81. Junior Daniel Jennevret also finished among the nine golfers in 33rd after posting the Frogs’ second-best score of the day with a 79, while fellow junior Pontus Gad rounded out the TCU scoring with an 82 to tie for 56th (+15). Freshman Thomas Mantovanini finished the weekend in 78th place (+35).

TCU returns to the links next week, when it travels to Austin, Texas, to play in the Morris Williams Intercollegiate. The tournament will feature three rounds played over two days March 16-17 at the University of Texas Golf Club.
