TCU Completes Second Round in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. - TCU freshman Giulio Castagnara carded a career-low 69 to lead the men's golf team in the second round of the OMNI Tucson National Invitational Tournament on Saturday at the Catalina Course.
The Horned Frogs bounced back in the second round with a 2-under 286 and enter Sunday's final round in 11th spot, five strokes out of eighth position.
Castagnara, a native of Pordenone, Italy, rolled in eight birdies on the afternoon for the first sub-70 round of his career. Castagnara climbed 39 positions to a tie for 36th with fellow Frog Julien Brun, who carded a 2-over 74 on Saturday.
Junior Sarosh Adi also shot under par on Saturday with a 2-under 70, his third sub-par round of the spring season. The Frisco, Texas, native registered four birdies with only one blemish in the round and enters Sunday in a tie for 30th, matching his best career finish.
Sophomore Paul Barjon provided the highlight of the tournament so far with a hole-in-one on the par-3 seventh en route to a 1-over 73.
Freshman Chelso Barrett rounded out the scoring for the Frogs with a 2-over 74. The Keene, N.H., native was 1-under on the final nine holes.
