TCU Completes Opening Rounds in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. - The TCU men's golf team played the opening 36 holes on Saturday at the 3M Augusta Invitational at Forest Hill Golf Club, as junior Julien Brun led the way at 2-under par.
The Horned Frogs carded a 5-over 293 through the first 18 holes on Saturday but struggled in the second round, dropping to 14th position with a round of 299.
Brun, the 2012 champion of the Augusta Invitational, posted a 1-over 73 in the first round before firing a 3-under 69 on the next 18 holes for his ninth sub-70 round of the season. The Antibes, France, native enters Sunday's final round in 15th position and has registered a stroke average of 70.22 in the final round this season.
Sophomore Paul Barjon recorded his ninth round this season at even or below par with an opening-round 72 before carding a 4-over 76 on the next 18 holes.
