Frogs Finish Fourth Overall at ASU Thunderbird Invitational

The TCU men's golf team posted a fourth-place showing at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational on Saturday at the Karsten Golf Course in Tucson, Ariz.
The Frogs finished with a three-round score of 857 (280-290-287) en route to their eighth top-five showing this season. Arizona State captured the team championship with a team tally of 838 while San Diego State (856), Denver (856), TCU (857) and UC Irvine (858) rounded out the top five.
James Sacheck (The Woodlands, Texas | Zionsville H.S.) notched a ninth-place showing to lead the Frogs with an even-par score of 213 (69-71-73), including a 73 in the final round of action.
Tom Hoge (Fargo, N.D. | Fargo South H.S.) and Travis Woolf (Fort Worth, Texas | Paschal H.S.) each finished with a 54-hole score of 214 en route to tying for 16th overall. Hoge posted a team-best score of 69 while Woolf recorded a 72 on the 18 holes of action.
Alexander Knappe (Brilon, Germany | Berufs H.S.) finished tied for 32nd overall with a score of 217 (69-74-74) while teammate Johan de Beer (Pretoria, South Africa | Pretoria Boys H.S.) notched a score of 222 (74-75-73) en route to finishing tied for 67th overall.
Scott Roudebush (Austin, Texas | Austin H.S.) - who competed as an individual - finished with a score of 218 (70-76-72) en route to notching a 39th-place showing.
The Frogs will be back in action on Friday at the Texas A&M Classic in College Station, Texas, beginning next Saturday.
