TCU Records Top-Five Showing in South Carolina

The Horned Frogs posted an even-par 288 in Tuesday's final round for the third-lowest 54-hole total (853) of the season. TCU's fifth-place showing marked its sixth top-10 finish and fourth top-five performance of the season.
Julien Brun just missed his eighth-career tournament title, firing a 1-under 71 to finish in a tie for second spot with an 8-under 208. The Antibes, France, native birdied the par-4 18th to enter into a five-way tie for the lead before rain delayed action for nearly an hour. Brun reached par on the remaining three holes to lock in his sixth top-10 showing of the season.
Freshman Giulio Castagnara closed out the best showing of his career with a 1-under 71 to finish in a tie for eighth, marking his first-career top-10 finish. The Pordenone, Italy, product tallied a 54-hole total of 210, besting his previous career mark by nine strokes.
Fellow freshman Chelso Barrett also rounded out a strong tournament showing with a 1-under 71 to place in a tie for 24th overall with a 2-under 214. The Keene, N.H., native registered his third-lowest 54-hole total of the season and the lowest since late February.
TCU returns to action for the Big 12 Championship held on April 25-27 at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Trinity, Texas.
