LAFAYETTE, Ind.—Johan de Beer recorded his fourth straight top-10 finish Sunday by tying for fifth place at the Boilermaker Invitational held at the Kampen Course of Purdue’s Boilermaker Golf Complex. The Horned Frog senior grabbed a share of fifth place at +1 overall for the weekend.

TCU finished the tournament in 12th place in the team standings with a three-round total of 924, two shots in front of Wisconsin. Indiana put together the top round of the tournament Sunday to earn the team championship with a total score of 877. The Frogs were shorthanded this weekend, as two regulars in the lineup, freshmen Julien Brun and Thomas Mantovanini, did not compete in preparation for the Mountain West Championship that will be held in two weeks.

De Beer, who entered Sunday’s final round even par for the tournament, recorded a final-round 73 after totaling three birdies and four bogeys during his final trip around the course. He shared fifth place with Kent State’s Taylor Pendrith while becoming the Frogs’ top individual finisher for the fifth time in the last six events.

Joining de Beer in the top-15 was junior Daniel Jennevret, who fired a final-round 74 to finish the tournament with a share of 15th place at +6 overall. The finish marked Jennevret’s top result of the spring thus far.

Concluding the Frog scoring were freshman Greg Holmes and sophomore Johnny Antle, who recorded respective scores of 83 and 85. Antle finished in a tie for 67th place (+23), while Antle was 85th (+31). Freshman Sarosh Adi, the fifth man in the TCU lineup, was forced to withdraw during the final round after entering the day tied with Antle in 76th place.

With its regular season now completed, TCU turns its attention to its final Mountain West Championship, which will be held May 4-6 on the Catalina Course at OMNI Tucson National in Tucson, Ariz.
