ROCKY FACE, Ga. - The TCU men's golf team ended the second round of the Carpet Capital Collegiate at The Farm Golf Club (par-72, 7,012 yards) in 16th position after a 16-over par performance to put the Horned Frogs at 27-over par after two rounds.

"We just need to keep trying to get better," said TCU head coach Bill Montigel. "This is an extremely strong field, so we're just going to have to go out tomorrow and do the best we can."

Travis Woolf was the bright spot on the day as the sophomore is tied for seventh after shooting another even par. The Fort Worth native led off the second round of play with two consecutive birdies to go two-under par before hitting a bogey and a double bogey to end the front nine at one-over par. Woolf would hit two more birdies on the back nine to shoot his second consecutive round of even par 72.

"I'm really pleased with how Travis played," said Montigel. "I thought he played very smart and solid today."

Robby Ormand also had another solid round as the junior posted a two-over par to finish one-over par overall and in a tie for 15th position. Ormand tallied two quick birdies to finish at two-under par on the front nine and in third place overall. Ormand was cruising through the back nine but hit a bogey and a double bogey on the last two holes to finish at two-over.

"Robby also had a really nice day," Montigel said. "One of the things we strive for is to have guys finish in the top 20. Right now we have two players in good shape to do that, so I'm very pleased from that standpoint."

Ben Murray and James Sacheck both finished the day in a tie for 75th position at 13-over par. Murray, a freshman from La Quinta, Calif., had a rough start to the second round, hitting six consecutive bogeys, but bounced back and collected three birdies on the back nine to finish the round with a five-over 77. After a first round four-over par, Sacheck slid in the second round with a nine-over 81.

Franklin Corpening rounded out the TCU golfers with an 11-over par to finish at 20-over after the first two rounds.
