DALTON, Ga. - The TCU men's golf team finished the Carpet Capital Collegiate with a share of 13th place after a six-over-par score of 294 in the third and final round. TCU (884) slipped five spots after having to play Sunday's final round without junior David Schultz, a 2003 honorable mention All-American, who withdrew due to injury.

Colby Beckstrom topped the Horned Frogs with an 11th-place finish. He shot a two-under-par 70 in the final round to finish the 54-hole event with a 214 (-2). The sophomore now has a fifth-place and an 11th-place finish in the Frogs' two tournaments this season. Beckstrom, who had a nine on a par-3 on Friday, played the remaining 53 holes at eight-under.

Senior Adam Meyer continued to move up the leaderboard, winding up with a share of 25th place after firing a team-best score of 68 (-4) on Sunday. The Waco native made the turn at one-over but recorded three birdies and an eagle on the back side. Meyer was under-par for the second straight day and completed the event with a three-round total of 218 (+2). After a seven-over 79 in the first round, he was positioned in 72nd.

With a plus-five score of 77, junior J.J. Killeen dropped into a tie for 33rd (220). Killeen began the day owning a share of 13th place after playing the first two days at one-under-par. Drew Stoltz, a redshirt freshman playing in just his second college tournament, posted his best round of the three-day event (79). At 241, Stoltz finished the tournament in 86th place individually.

The Carpet Capital Collegiate included the following teams (with Golfweek and Precept Poll rankings in parentheses): TCU (1/7), Florida (2/1), Clemson (5/2), Southern California (6/11), Georgia (7/8), Georgia Tech (9/13), Augusta State (10/12), Oklahoma (12/19), Wake Forest (13/9), South Carolina (23/23), Vanderbilt (24/NR), UNLV (25/9), Texas (NR/6), North Carolina State (NR/18), Auburn (NR/20), Duke (NR/22), Tennessee and East Tennessee State.

Team scores are calculated based on each team's best four scores among its five players during each round. Since Schultz was forced to withdraw, TCU had to count all four scores on Sunday. Florida made a final-round move to win the event with an 853, five strokes better than Clemson and Texas.

TCU is next in action Oct. 20-21 at the Gary Koch Intercollegiate in Tampa, Fla.
