ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Junior Turner MacLean led the TCU men’s golf team after the first round at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate on Friday.

The Fort Worth native had seven birdies, tied with six others for the most on the day, and shot 4-under 68 to finish in a tie for sixth place. The 4-under was a season best and the 68 tied a low this year. He is two back of leader Doug Ghim (-6) of Texas.

With three birdies on the front nine, junior Triston Fisher (Southlake) shot under par for the first time this season at 3-under 69 and is tied for 12th place.

Junior Stefano Mazzoli (Italy) shot 1-over 73 and is tied for 44th place. Junior David Ravetto (France) is tied for 61st after shooting 3-over 75 and junior Pierre Mazier (France) is tied for 67th at 4-over 76.

TCU is tied for eighth at 3-under 285. Oklahoma State leads the loaded field of 15 after shooting 11-under 277. Nine of the teams competing are ranked in the top 25 by GolfStat.
