Mazzoli Shines in Second Round in Georgia

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Junior Stefano Mazzoli shot 4-under 68 on Saturday to lead the TCU men’s golf team at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.

Mazzoli moved up 18 spots and is tied for 26th going into Sunday’s final round at 3-under 141. The Italian had an eagle on hole No. 9, the 540-yard par 5.

Tied for ninth place, junior Turner MacLean still leads the Horned Frogs at 6-under 138. The Fort Worth native shot 2-under 70 on Saturday.

Like MacLean, junior Triston Fisher shot under par for the second-straight round with a 1-under 140. The Southlake, Texas native is tied for 17th at 4-under 140.

Junior David Ravetto (France) shot even-par 72 and is tied for 59th place at 3-over 147. Junior Pierre Mazier (France) shot 3-over 75 and is tied for 72nd place at 7-over 151.

TCU moved up one position and is tied for seventh at 10-under 566. No. 11 Wake Forest (-23). leads the tournament. Duke’s Alex Smalley (-12) leads all individuals.

TCU will start the final round on hole No. 10 at 9:36 a.m. on Sunday. Live scoring can be found at GolfStat.com.
