Fisher Leads TCU in Georgia

ALPHARETTA, Ga. – Junior Triston Fisher had the best 54-hole score of his career and finished tied for seventh to lead the TCU men’s golf team at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate.
The Southlake, Texas native shot 6-under 210, both career-bests for strokes under par and total score. Fisher shot under par in all three rounds for the first time in his career. He shot 2-under 70 in the final round on Sunday.
After shooting 4-under 68 on Saturday, junior Stefano Mazzoli shot even-par 72 on Sunday. He finished 3-under 213 and tied for 30th place. Mazzoli tied with junior Turner MacLean who shot 3-over 75 in the final round.
Junior David Ravetto had his best performance as a Horned Frog. The transfer from Texas Weslyan shot 3-over 219 and finished tied for 54th place. He eagled the 540-yard par 5 No. 9 hole on Sunday. Junior Pierre Mazier tied for 73rd after shooting 10-over 226 for the tournament.
As a team, TCU shot 9-under 855 and finished tied for 11th. The Frogs finished ahead of No. 23 Florida State (-6) and No. 39 UNLV (+1). No. 3 Oklahoma State won the tournament at 27-under 837. Of the 15-team field, nine are currently ranked in the top 25 according to GolfStat.com.
Doug Ghim of Texas won the tournament after shooting 13-under 203.
TCU’s next tournament will be Feb. 1-3 at the Amer Ari Invitational in Waikoloa, Hawaii.
