TCU Alum Hoge has Best Career Finish

Jan. 24, 2018

TCU alum Tom Hoge had his best finish in his four years on the PGA Tour on Jan. 14 when he finished third at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

The Fargo, N.D. native finished 16-under 264, one stroke from the winner, Patton Kizzire, who defeated James Hahn in a playoff. Prior to Sunday, Hoge’s best finish was fourth, at the Barracuda Championship last season.

Hoge turned professional in 2011 and joined the PGA Tour in 2015, after a TCU career where he earned All-America honors. Hoge had a breakout performance at the 2009 NCAA Championship as a sophomore. He remains one of three Horned Frogs to be named an All-American by the end of their sophomore year along with J.J. Henry and Julien Brun.

Henry Shoots 59
For the first time in his career, TCU alum J.J. Henry finished a golf round with a score under 60. On Jan. 22, Henry shot 59 at Tradition Golf Club. Helen Ross of PGATour.com caught up with the former TCU All-American. Read the story HERE.
