WAIKOLOA, Hawaii - The TCU men's golf team opens the 2014 spring season on Thursday at the Waikoloa Kings' Course among 20 of the nation's top programs.
Play begins on the par 72, 7,074-yard course with 18 holes on Thursday followed by rounds on Friday and Saturday.
The talented field consists of No. 2 Georgia Tech, No. 3 Oklahoma State, No. 9 Stanford, No. 13 Washington, No. 16 UCLA, No. 18 Texas, No. 22 USC, No. 28 Auburn, No. 34 Arizona State, No. 49 Oregon State, No. 50 UC Davis, California State, Colorado, Hawaii-Hilo, Hawaii-Manoa, Oregon, Osaka Gakuin, San Jose State and Texas Tech.
The Horned Frogs will continue their quest to earn a 25th-consecutive NCAA Regional berth under head coach Bill Montigel, as they played three tournaments during the fall season with two top-10 finishes.
Filling out the lineup card for the Frogs this week will be junior Julien Brun, freshman Giulio Castagnara, junior Sarosh Adi, freshman Chelso Barrett and sophomore Paul Barjon.
Entered his junior season as the TCU record holder in stroke average (70.41) and tournament wins (six).
Lone two-time First-Team All-American (PING) in program history.
Posted two top-10 finishes in three fall tournaments with 71.67 stroke average.
Notched top-10 finish at All-American Golf Classic in El Paso, Texas, among nation's top 21 golfers.
Currently ranked No. 20 among college golfers according to Golfweek/Sagarin ranking.
Competed in final two fall tournaments, the first of his collegiate career.
Earned a 29th-place finish at the Crooked Stick Intercollegiate.
Matched season-low round of 75 at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational.
