March 21, 2014
FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU men's golf standout Julien Brun was tabbed as the No. 2 male collegiate golfer on Team Europe in the latest Palmer Cup Rankings.
The top six golfers in the final rankings from both the United States and Europe will be selected to compete in the Palmer Cup, slated for June 26-28 at Walton Heath Golf Club in Surrey, England.
Brun has led the Horned Frogs this season with a 71.47 stroke average in seven tournaments, where he has finished in the top 12 in six of the seven events. Brun increased his school record of career tournament victories to seven by capturing the title at the Desert Intercollegiate in February, where he carded a season-low final round of 65.
The Antibes, France, native, ranked as high as No. 8 nationally by Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking, was listed on The Ben Hogan Award Watch List earlier this season and is one of only three players on the list that are two-time semifinalists of the prestigious award.
Brun and the Horned Frogs return to the links on March 28 at the U.S. Intercollegiate in Stanford, Calif.
