McKINNEY, Texas—TCU sophomore Sarosh Adi placed runner up in a three-hole playoff after finishing regulation play with a share of the lead during the final round of the Jim West Intercollegiate at TPC Craig Ranch Golf Course.
Three Horned Frogs, Adi and sophomore Thomas Mantovanini and redshirt freshman Michael Culin, participated in the tournament as individual entries. Also competing in the event were golfers from Vanderbilt, Oral Roberts, UALR, Texas State and Stephen F. Austin, among others.
Adi finished the three-round event with an even-par total of 216 to tie Oral Roberts’ Bryce Emory atop the individual leaderboard. Emory prevailed on the third playoff hole to claim top-medalist honors. Among the golfers Adi finished ahead of was Vanderbilt’s Hunter Stewart, who was rated No. 88 in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin national rankings.
Mantovanini tied for 29th on the final leaderboard, while Culin tied for 42nd.
TCU returns to team competition this weekend when it travels to Austin, Texas, for the annual Morris Williams Intercollegiate hosted by Texas at the University of Texas Golf Club.
