Brun Set to Make Professional Debut

June 22, 2015

FORT WORTH, Texas - Former TCU men's golf standout Julien Brun will make his professional debut on Thursday on the 2015 Mackenzie Tour PGA TOUR Canada at the Boreal Open in Alberta.

Brun, a three-time First-Team All-American at TCU, recently earned exempt status for the 2015 season by claiming medalist honors at the PGA TOUR Canada's California Qualifying Tournament, locking in a spot for the final 10 events of the season. Brun went 4-under in the 72-hole tournament and rolled in two putts from off the green on each of the last two holes for the 1-stroke victory.

The top five finishers on the money list at the conclusion of the season will earn a spot on the Tour.

Brun capped his incredible collegiate career by helping lead the Horned Frogs to a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Championship, marking the program's fourth top-10 showing all-time. Brun holds 15 school records, including nine tournament victories, and is also a two-time All-America Scholar.
