Brun Named to All-Nicklaus Team

FORT WORTH, Texas - TCU standout golfer Julien Brun was recently named to the 2014 All-Nicklaus Team, which recognizes players from Divisions, I, II, II, NAIA, and NJCAA for their outstanding play during the past collegiate season. The All-Nicklaus team selection marks the third of Brun's career.
Brun joins a list of nine other Division I standout golfers to receive the honors that includes, Greg Eason (UCF), Brandon Hagy (California), Patrick Rodgers (Stanford), Ollie Schniederjans (Georgia Tech), Robby Shelton (Alabama), Joel Stalter (California), Scott Vincent (Virginia Tech), Cameron Wilson (Stanford) and Bobby Wyatt (Alabama).
Brun's latest honor comes after earning First-Team All-America honors from both PING and Golfweek, as he has now racked up six such selections in his storied career at TCU.
Brun is one of only 26 players all-time in Division I history to earn First-Team All-America distinction three times from the Golf Coaches Association of America (PING).
The Antibes, France, native wrapped up his junior campaign by winning the Big 12 Championship and the NCAA San Antonio Regional in back-to-back events.
Brun earned a berth as an individual at the NCAA Championship, which he declined in order to play as an amateur at the PGA Tour's Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
Brun set a TCU single-season record during the 2013-14 campaign as he played 29 rounds of par or better golf and finished ranked as high as No. 10 nationally by Golfweek.
