July 23, 2015

FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU men’s golfer Julien Brun was named a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced.

Brun, the Antibes, France, native, was the team’s top finisher five times during the 2014-15 season. At the NCAA Championship, he carded his 14th-career round of par or better in NCAA play with a 2-under 70, helping TCU to a 10th-place team finish.

He ended his illustrious career at TCU as a three-time First-Team All-American, the only Horned Frog to ever accomplish the feat. A two-time Scholar All-American, he holds the TCU career record for individual victories (nine) and stroke average (70.85). The 2013 Ben Hogan Award Finalist was also honored as the 2014-15 Big 12 Men’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status, an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50 percent of his team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I and maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
