Aug 29, 2013
TCU men's golfer Julien Brun has been named one of the GolfWorld Top-50 Collegiate Male Players to Watch, the organization announced today.
A two-time PING First Team All-American, GolfWorld ranks Brun third among its Top 10 Players to Watch for 2013-14. A junior from Antibes, France, Brun holds the TCU career record for individual victories (6) and stroke average (70.41) as well as the single-season marks in individual wins (3 in 2012, 2013) and stroke average (70.31 in 2013).
A 2013 Ben Hogan Award finalist, Brun earned reserve medalist honors at the 2012 NCAA Championship by tying for second place with a final score of -2, matching the best NCAA finish in TCU history. He led the Horned Frogs to one of the most successful campaigns in school history last season, including a top 10 national finish and an NCAA Championship appearance.
Brun and TCU tee off the 2013-14 season at the Topy Cup in Tanagura, Japan beginning Sept. 10.
