TCU to Play at Ram Masters Invitational

FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU men’s golf will play its second tournament of the season when it competes at the Ram Masters Invitational starting Monday in Fort Collins, Colo.

The Horned Frogs begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. CT and play 36 holes at Fort Collins Country Club. The final 18 holes will start Tuesday at 9 a.m. CT.

TCU will go with the lineup of Triston Fisher, Turner MacLean, Pierre Mazier, Stefano Mazzoli and Hayden Springer.

The Course – Par 70 | 7,218 yards
Fort Collins Country Club is a championship caliber, park style golf course that originally opened for play in 1959. The course features majestic tree-lined fairways and tremendous views of the mountains.

The Field
Air Force, Colorado State, Denver, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Illinois State, Long Beach State, UMKC, New Mexico, Northern Colorado, Oral Roberts, Pacific, Sam Houston State, South Dakota, South Dakota State, TCU, Utah Valley, Wichita State, Wyoming

The host school, Colorado State, has won the tournament each of the last three seasons. Denver (2013) and Wichita State (2012) are also past champions.

Last Time Out
TCU played in one of the most challenging tournaments of the season at one of the world’s most beautiful courses, Sept. 1-3. The Frogs finished fifth at The Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Links. MacLean led the team, tying a career-low 6-under-210 to finish 15th overall.

TCU Lineup
Triston Fisher (Junior – Southlake, Texas) – Finished tied for 35th last time out at The Carmel Cup… Member of the 2017 Academic All-Big 12 First Team… Posted a scoring average of 75.48 last season.

Turner MacLean (Junior – Fort Worth, Texas) – Shot 2-under 70 all three rounds at The Carmel Cup… Member of the 2017 Academic All-Big 12 First Team… Posted a season average of 74.68 last season.

Pierre Mazier (Junior – Saint-Raphael, France) – Had a second-round score of 5-under 67 at The Carmel Cup to follow his first round of 68 and finished tied for 18th overall with a score of 5-under 211… Finished with a scoring average of 72.75 last season.

Stefano Mazzoli (Junior – Moforfano, Italy) – Shot 1-under 71 for all three rounds at The Carmel Cup and finished tied for 23rd after shooting 3-under 213… Posted a scoring average of 73.78 last season.

Hayden Springer (Junior – Trophy Club, Texas) – Tied for 23rd with Mazzoli at The Carmel Cup after shooting 3-under 213… Transferred from Texas Tech in the summer.
