Qualified for the 2013 IAAF World Championships with a third place finish in the men's 100-meter dash at the USA Track and Field Championships ... finished in a career-best legal mark of 9.98 seconds ... established himself as one of the favorites in the semifinals with a wind-aided mark of 9.85, the fastest all-conditions time of his career ... in the first round, won his heat by edging out 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist Justin Gatlin ... made Diamond League debut in Monaco ... competed with Mike Rodgers, Mookie Salaam and Gatlin on the USA men's 4x100 relay in Monaco, leading-off as the U.S. posted the world's best time in 37.58 ... later that evening, competed in 100-meter dash against, among others, former TCU national champion Kim Collins.

2013 Outdoor

The fastest man in the NCAA, winning the fastest 100-meter dash final in NCAA history ... took the come-from-behind win over Florida State's Dentarius Locke in a wind-aided 9.89 seconds ... time ties for the fastest all-conditions 100-meters in NCAA history ... first time in NCAA history there were three marks under 10 seconds in the 100-meter dash final, and the first time it took 10.01 to get into the top-five ... finished up season in which Silmon did not lose to a collegian in the 100-meter dash ... was the top seed of the semifinal round with a wind-aided mark of 9.92 seconds ... also made final of 200-meter dash and 4x100 relay, but withdrew due to injury ... in 4x100 prelims, ran with three freshmen to help TCU qualify for the final and run a season-best time of 39.15 ... performance at NCAA Championships helped him be named one of 10 semifinalists for The Bowerman, the most prestigous award in college track and field ... named USTFCCCA South Central Region Track Athlete of the Year ... went to NCAA Championships as the top qualifier out of the NCAA West Preliminaries in the 100 and 200-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay ... ran legal PRs in Austin, going 10.03 in the 100-meter dash first round and 20.23 in the 200-meter dash quarterfinals ... marks moved him into the top-10 of the world in both events at the time ... won the Men's High Point Scorer Award at the Big 12 Championships after taking title in the 100 and 200-meter dash and 4x100-meter relay ... won all three titles in a four-hour span, capping it off with a 20.33 in the 200-meter dash which cut three-tenths off his previous PR and at the time was the best mark in the nation ... was named Big 12 Outdoor Outstanding Male Performer of the Season ... was selected for the prestigious invitational 100-meter dash at the Texas Relays ... finished fourth with a wind-aided 9.94 seconds, losing out to three U.S. Olympians.

Finished third in the 60-meter dash at the NCAA Indoor Championships, earning first-team All-American honors ... became the eighth TCU men's runner to make the final of the 60-meter dash at NCAA Indoors ... prelims time of 6.60 seconds moved him to third in TCU history in the event ... won Big 12 Championship in the 60-meter dash, becoming the first TCU men's competitor to win a conference championship across all athletics programs at TCU ... finished first in prelims and finals at conference championships in 60-meter dash ... also finished third in 200-meter dash, running a career-best 20.96 in the finals ... became seventh TCU man to go below 21 seconds in the indoor 200 meters ... competed in the 60-meter dash at five meets and the 200-meter dash in three competitions ... won 60-meter dash at Texas A&M Invitational.

Qualified for the semifinals of the 100 and 200-meter dash at the U.S. Olympic Trials ... won gold medal as member of 4x100-meter relay team for USA at the North American, Central American and Caribbean (NACAC) Under-23 Championships ... earned a bronze medal in the 100-meter dash at the NACAC U-23 Championships ... earned All-America honors in the 100-meter dash, finishing seventh at the NCAA Championships ... posted his best time as a Horned Frog with a wind-aided 10.04 at the NCAA West Preliminaries ... earned second-team All-America honors in the 4x100-meter relay at the NCAA Championships, finishing 11thin 39.59 ... United States Junior Team

The Waco native helped USA blaze to gold medal honors in the men's 4x100, clocking a blistering 38.93 seconds, which was second-fastest time ever recorded by a junior team ... Silmon, who blew by Jamaica on the second exchange, teamed with Michael Granger, Eric Harris and Oliver Bradwell to cross the finish line in first-place ... Silmon, who has clocked the fastest 200-meter junior time in the world this season, became only the third TCU student-athlete under head coach Darryl Anderson to medal at the IAAF World Junior Championships ... The freshman joins the likes of former Frog greats Otis McDaniel and Justyn Warner, who captured gold and silver medal accolades, respectively ... The gold medal for Silmon was a fitting ending to the World Junior Championships in Canada ... Earlier in the week, he just missed a gold medal in the men's 100 meters, crossing the finish line in second-place with a personal-best time of 10.23 seconds.

Silmon had a breakout freshman season as he exploded onto the scene at the season-opening Texas A&M Reveille, clocking a time of 6.67 seconds in the 60 meters to earn first-place accolades ... Earned Mountain West Conference Player of the Week accolades following his first-place showing in College Station ... Posted a personal-best time of 6.67 seconds again later in the indoor season at the NCAA Qualifier, breezing to first-place honors ... Earned runner-up accolades in the men's 60 meters at the Mountain West Conference Indoor Championships with a time of 6.75 seconds ... Came back during the outdoor season to simply dominate competition ... Silmon went into the NCAA West Preliminary Round, having clocked the seventh-fastest time in the region ... At the MWC Outdoor Championships, Silmon captured the 100 meters title at the conference championships, blazing to a personal-best time of 10.24 seconds to capture his first conference title of his young career ... Silmon's time, which set a new Mountain West Conference Championship record, at that point was the No. 7 in the West Region and No. 19 in the NCAA this spring ... By winning the 100 meters, Silmon was honored as the Mountain West Conference Men's Most Outstanding Performance honoree ... Competed at the NCAA Championships in the 100 meters, just missing the finals, placing 12th overall with a preliminary time of 10.33 seconds ... Qualified for the final round of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the men's 100 meters by placing sixth at the NCAA West Preliminary Round ... Also competed in the men's 200 meters at the NCAA Championships in Eugene after placing fifth overall at the NCAA West Preliminary Round with a personal-best time of 20.58 seconds ... Placed second in the 200 at the Mountain West Conference Championships with a time of 20.65 seconds ... Was a key component of the men's 4x100 that ranked in the top 10 in the world rankings for the majority of the outdoor season ... Helped the unit clock a time of 39.20 seconds at the Texas Relays, which at that point ranked No. 2 in the NCAA ... Also helped the quartet win conference championships accolades in Albuquerque ... Closed out his freshman season making the USA Junior National Squad in the men's 100 meters ... Will compete in the men's 100 meters in Canada in July.

Silmon competed at Waco High School in Waco, Texas ... Ran 10.41 seconds in the 100 meters to claim state championship honors his senior season ... He collected runner-up honors in the 200 meters at the Texas State Championships his junior year, clocking a time of 21.02, which at that point was the fifth-fastest 200-meter time in the country ... In the 100, Silmon's personal-best is 10.24 seconds, which he ran at the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic Championships ... He was a two-time All-American after competing at the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic Championships ... Was also part of a 4x100 unit that clocked a seasonal-best time of 40.80 seconds.
