Preview: Texas Tech Shootout

FORT WORTH, Texas – The TCU track and field team continues the indoor season on Friday when the Horned Frogs return to Lubbock, Texas, for the Texas Tech Shootout.

TCU will compete against host No. 2 (men) Texas Tech, No. 22 (women) Kansas State, No. 25 (women) Arizona State, Abilene Christian, Air Force, Arizona, Butler Community College, North Texas, Texas A&M – Corpus Christi, and UT – Arlington. The meet is scheduled to begin Friday evening and conclude Saturday afternoon.

Prime Time Timing will provide live results and a live stream is available for purchase at A recap and final results will be posted to following the conclusion of competition.

In the men’s 60m, Emeilo Ferguson recorded a first-place mark of 6.70. Ferguson has won the 60m at the Charlie Thomas Invitational two years in a row.

The men’s 4X400m relay recorded its fast time of the season in a winning effort. Emmanuel Ogwo, Jostyn Andrews, Kevin McClanahan, and Derrick Mokaleng finished in 3:07.30.

Making her debut for the Horned Frogs, pole vaulter Stephanie Bess reached 3.72m for a third-place finish.

TCU’s men’s weight throw squad, which ranks No.7 in the USTFCCCA squad rankings, had three of the top five finishes. Isaiah Rogers led the way with a 19.45m throw, good for second place and his best mark of the season. Rogers also finished second in the shot put (17.37m). Ryan Camp and Justin Sanchez finished third and fifth respectively.



Hope Glenn recorded her second consecutive third place finish in the 60m, finishing in 7.56.
