FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU men's soccer team tied #17 Saint Louis 3-3 Wednesday in a double overtime match at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium.

SLU scored first, but TCU's first goal came from SLU's own team. The Billikens scored on themselves, noted as an "own goal", tying the score at one a piece.

The second goal came from junior midfielder Andrew Porteous on an assist from Will Shelton. The goal came in a wide open field breakaway and put the Frogs ahead 2-0.

The final goal came from a header into the goal from 6'3" junior midfielder John Morrell from Chris Carman. Less than two minutes later the Billikens' Jason Cole (who recorded all three goals for SLU) scored off the assist from Mike Kirchhoff.

Early in the second half, goalkeepers coach Jay Fitzgerald was given a red card and ejected from the game after an exchange of words with the officials.

The Frogs resilient defense limited the Billikens to only three goals off of 14 shots-on-goal and 25 shots total.

Senior goalkeeper Michael Lahoud took the net for the Frogs and recorded 11 saves in 110 minutes.

TCU associate head coach Blake Amos said, "at 3-11 this is just what the doctor ordered. If we lost we can walk away with our heads high, but after this effort we can walk away very proud of our efforts." "Our guys played hard and they deserve to feel good about this game."

Next up for the frogs is a trip to Chicago to take on DePaul on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 2:00 p.m.
