Men's Tennis Posts Seven Wins at Dual

FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 39 TCU men's tennis team continued to roll at the UCF Hidden Dual in Orlando, Fla., by taking seven wins over No. 48 Louisville on Friday.
Nick Chappell, Arnau Dachs and Andres Alfonzo remained undefeated for the Horned Frogs in the Hidden Dual. Chappell and his teammate Will Stein easily won their doubles match against Debastian Stiefelmeyer and Van Damrongsri 6-1 in the Black Group, while Trey Daniel and Facundo Lugones suffered a close loss to Albert Wagner and Chris Simich 6-5(4).
TCU swept the matches in the doubles Gold Group with the pairing of Jhonatan Gonzalez and Andres Alfonzo defeating Luis Elizondo and Alex Gornet, 6-5(4) and Blake Wiggins and Hudson Blake taking a 6-3 win over Michael Lippens and Jeffrey Brown.
All three singles matches in the Black Group were won by the Horned Frogs, as No. 84 Chappell led the team by defeating Stiefelmeyer in three sets, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. After sitting out doubles action, Dachs took a 6-0, 4-6, 6-5(6) win over Wagner, while Alfonzo took an easy win over Elizondo 6-4, 6-1.
Lugones notched TCU's final win in singles play, as the junior came back from losing the first set 6-0, to win the last two sets 6-5(14) and 6-4 and give TCU a 7-6 advantage in the matches.
