Men's Tennis Continues Winning Ways

FORT WORTH, Texas - The No. 39 TCU men's tennis team kept up the momentum and won eight matches against UCF on Saturday at the UCF Hidden Dual in Orlando, Fla.
The Horned Frogs started the day by splitting the doubles matches with the Knights. TCU duo Arnau Dachs and Trey Daniel were victorious in the Black Group with a 6-4 win over Amar Hromic and Jesse Flores. Hudson Blake and Facundo Lugones were the winners in the Gold Group with a 6-4 defeat of Inaki Espindola and Chris Barrus.
In singles play, TCU swept all the matches in the Gold Group, with No. 84 Nick Chappell leading the Frogs for the third day in a row with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Matthew Gladstone. Dachs was also victorious with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Francesc Aulina, while Lugones needed three sets to defeat Hromic 3-6, 6-5(9), 6-4.
Newcomer Jhonatan Gonzalez was the only winner for TCU in the Gold Group as the freshman easily took down Flores 6-2, 6-1.
The Horned Frogs will wrap up competition at the UCF Hidden Dual on Sunday with doubles and singles action against regional foe Rice. Results and a recap will be available on GoFrogs.com following the completion of the competition for the day.
