No. 6 TCU Men's Tennis Blanks Charlotte, 4-0

The No. 6 TCU men's tennis squad remained undefeated Saturday with a 4-0 victory against Charlotte at the Conference USA Shootout in Fort Worth. The 7-0 Horned Frogs take on 56th-rated Louisville Sunday at 1:30 p.m. on the Tut Bartzen Varsity Tennis Courts at Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center. The Cardinals (6-5) were 4-0 winners versus East Carolina (6-2) earlier in the day.
The Horned Frogs cruised in doubles, sweeping all three positions. Hector Almada and Jacopo Tezza got the first win, 8-3, at two versus Jonathan Clark and Stuart Lynas. The clincher was provided by Jacob Martin and Alex Menichini at No. 3 by an 8-2 count against Arturo Aguirre and Zvi Lantsberg. TCU's 10th-rated duo of Rafael Abreu and Fabrizio Sestini finished off the doubles by downing Dorian Host and Marlo Santoso, 8-5, at one.
The Purple and White was unstoppable in the singles portion of the event, dropping only seven games in the three matches that finished. Sestini rolled over Clark at the second spot, 6-0, 6-1, to give TCU a 2-0 lead. Tezza was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at four over Host and Almada provided the clinching point at three by defeating Santoso, 6-2, 6-0. The other three matches at Nos. 1, 5 and 6 singles were suspended in the second sets.
