No. 34 TCU Men's Tennis Falls To No. 7 Duke

FORT WORTH, Texas - The TCU men's tennis team, ranked No. 34 by the ITA, dropped their first match since February 10 to the seventh ranked Duke Blue Devils. The Frogs lost the doubles point, but won three of six singles matches finishing with a score of 4-3.

No. 75 Fabrizio Sestini of TCU took care of Duke's Ludovic Walter early, winning in two sets 6-4; 6-2.

On court one, Alex Menichini gave No. 7 Phillip King some stiff competition taking the first set into a tiebreaker situation. King won 6-7 (8-5 TB); 6-3.

Freshman Rafael Abreu defeated Duke's Peter Shults in three sets 6-3; 5-7; 6-2. Abreu is now 11-3 overall.

The Frogs will return to action March 13 when they take on No. 36 Miami (Fla.) in Miami, followed by a match against Wisconsin, also in Miami on March 15. TCU returns home March 20 to take on Abilene Christian.
