FORT WORTH, Texas - The 35th ranked TCU men's tennis team smashed the No. 54 SMU Mustangs Wednesday 6-1 in Dallas. SMU boasts three ranked singles players and one ranked doubles team. TCU took the doubles point 3-0 and followed up with five of six singles matches.

SMU's 39th ranked doubles team of Johan Brunstrom and Henrik Soderberg were easily taken care of by TCU's team of Toni Gordon and Fabrizio Sestini 8-6. Brunstrom is SMU's highest ranked singles player coming in at No. 48.

On the singles page, junior Alex Menichini took court No. 1 and defeated Lukasz Senczyszyn 6-4; 5-7; (10-8 super tiebreaker). However, on court two, Sestini dropped his match to 48th ranked Brunstrom. TCU's lone senior Toni Gordon defeated Alexis Rudzinski 6-4; 6-0. Jacob Martin, Jacopo Tezza and Rafael Abreu all won their matches as well. Martin's opponent, Gwinyai Chingoka of SMU is nationally ranked No. 90.

The Frogs bring it home Saturday March 29 against Tulsa at noon.
