TULSA, Okla. - Cosmin Cotet fell in the singles round of 16 on Friday, while the doubles duo of Cotet and Kriegler Brink was stopped in the doubles quarterfinals to complete action at the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships.

"The doubles team wasn't as sharp in their second match of the day as they were in the first, but it was a great effort for the team to make it to the quarterfinals and for Cosmin to make it to the round of 16," said TCU head coach Dave Borelli.

A day after overwhelming the No. 2 player in the nation, Cotet fell in a tough match to Southern California's Robert Farrah 7-6, 7-6.

Brink and Cotet, ranked No. 22 nationally, earned an impressive victory over No. 5-8 Brandon Davis and Ryan Rowe of Illinois, 8-5. In the quarterfinal round, the TCU duo fell to the top team in the nation, Somdev Devvarman and Treat Huey of Virginia, 8-2.

The TCU netters will return to the courts on Oct. 14-16 for the Racquet Club Invitational in Midland, Texas.
