TCU's Rafael Abreu and Fabrizio Sestini reached the consolation semifinals in doubles at the Icy Hot/ITA All-American Championships Friday. The Horned Frogs' No.8-ranked doubles team was defeated by 58th-rated Thomas Schoeck and Luke Shields from Boise State by an 8-5 count. The loss concluded TCU's stay in Chattanooga, Tenn., at the Champions Club.

The tandem received a walkover in their first match versus the 28th-ranked duo of Mark Growcott and Jason Hazley from LSU when Hazley was forced to withdraw due to an injury. Abreu and Sestini recorded an 8-6 victory against No. 20-rated Peter Rodrigues and Jonathan Stokke of Duke in the quarters.

"Overall, it was a great tournament, especially for Fabrizio," TCU coach Joey Rive said. "He had a breakthrough and is doing things he hasn't done before. Fabrizio is playing much better and is poised to be one of the better collegiate players this year."
