MIDLAND, Texas

TCU men's tennis netters Fabrizio Sestini and Rafael Abreu competed in the Midland Racquet Club Invitational Saturday in Midland, Texas. Sestini, ranked No. 63, was downed by Jonathan Stokke of Duke in the quarterfinals of the main draw, 6-3, 6-3, while Abreu picked up a win in the consolation draw over Brett Joelson of Texas A&M, 6-4, 6-3, before falling in his semifinal match with Texas' Will Clinton. The duo also snagged a win in doubles over UCLA's tandem of Aaron Yovan and Chris Surapol, 8-4, before exiting the tournament with a loss to Jason Gould and Matija Zgaga of Baylor, 9-7.

TCU will be back in action over Oct. 24-27 when the Horned Frogs host the ITA South Central Regional Championships at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth.
