FORT WORTH – The TCU men’s tennis team gets right back to action Tuesday when it travels to Palo Alto, Calif., to take on No. 18-ranked Stanford.

First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. CST from Stanford’s Taube Tennis Center. The Horned Frogs are 4-2 on the year and are coming off a 6-1 setback to No. 16-ranked Texas A&M on Saturday. The Cardinal is 3-1, with its lone loss coming to the aforementioned Aggies.

Tuesday’s meeting will be the sixth all-time between the two programs and first since 2003. Stanford holds a 4-1 edge in the all-time series. TCU won the first meeting, 5-3, in 1987 and the Cardinal took the most-recent matchup, a 5-2 decision, in Palo Alto.

Stanford is the second of three-straight opponents on TCU’s schedule currently ranked in the top 22 of the ITA national team rankings. Texas A&M was 16th, the Cardinal is No. 18 and Tulsa (Feb. 10) is No. 22.

Sophomore Arnau Dachs is ranked No. 100 in the ITA singles rankings and is 5-1 this season. Orlando Superlano also holds a 5-1 record in singles and scored TCU’s lone point against TAMU last weekend.

In doubles, Nick Chappell and Will Stein are 4-1 and dropped their only decision in a tiebreaker against TAMU’s No. 1 tandem. Dachs and Superlano are 3-1 from their No. 3 position in the lineup.
