FORT WORTH, Texas - After over a week off, the No. 16 TCU men's tennis team returns to action by traveling to Chapel Hill, N.C., to take on No. 3 North Carolina on Tuesday, Feb. 6.

The Horned Frogs (3-1) and the Tar Heels (6-0) will face-off at 5 p.m., CT at the Cone-Kenfield Tennis Center.

TCU Notables
TCU enters Tuesday's match with a No. 16 national ranking after going 1-1 at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. The Frogs dropped a 4-3 heartbreaker to San Diego in the opening round before rebounding with a 4-0 victory over Louisville.

Alastair Gray leads the team with a No. 23 ranking and a 10-3 mark overall this season, while Alex Rybakov sits at No. 31 with a 2-0 mark in dual matches and a 2-1 record against ranked opponents. Trevor Johnson is also undefeated in dual-match play with a 3-0 record while Guillermo Nuñez and Reese Stalder are each 3-1. In doubles, Stalder pairs up with Bertus Kruger with a 4-0 mark while Gray and Rybakov at 4-1 this season with a No. 13 ranking.

Scouting the Tar Heels
North Carolina is sitting at No. 3 in the Oracle/ITA team rankings and is 6-0 to start the season. The Tar Heels swept the competition in its first four matches before getting a 4-2 win over Michigan and a 4-3 victory against Illinois. UNC has four ranked singles players led by No. 2 William Blumberg who has seven wins on the season with six over ranked opponents. Simon Soendergaard (No. 70), Joshua Peck (No. 79) and Robert Kelly (No. 94) all lead the team with 10 wins in singles action. Blumberg and Kelly pair up for the team's only doubles ranking at No. 3 with seven wins on the season and four over ranked foes.

All-Time Series Records
Tuesday's match marks the 15th meeting all-time between the programs with TCU holding the overall advantage with an 8-6 mark. The first meeting came in 1978 in Chapel Hill with the Frogs coming away with a 5-4 victory. The last time the teams faced each other came in the Elite 8 of the 2015 NCAA Championship with TCU getting the 4-1 victory to make its fourth final four. This will be the fifth time the teams have faced off in Chapel Hill and the first time since 2014.
