Senior Orlando Superlano transferred to TCU this fall after spending two years at New Mexico State University. The San Cristobal, Venezuela native came to Fort Worth last season and played against TCU and fell in love with the campus and tennis atmosphere.

Superlano, who looks to graduate from TCU with a degree in economics with a minor finance, took some time to sit down with GoFrogs.com and answer a few interesting questions...

What do you think about the TCU campus?
“I love the campus. It is one of the prettiest campuses that I have seen since coming to the United States.”

What was your experience like playing against TCU last season as a member of New Mexico State’s team?
“New Mexico State’s campus is pretty big, but the tennis courts are off-campus, so most people didn’t know where we played and there was never anyone there. Sometimes it was just the coach’s wife and a few friends. When we came to TCU, we played a night match under the lights and there were probably 500 or 600 people there and they were cheering, yelling and screaming. It was unbelievable.”

What is the best meal you can actually cook?
“Pasta with marinara sauce.”

What would you do if you won $1 million?
“First thing I would do is buy an apartment, but then I would go to Las Vegas with five of my friends. It would be all-you-can eat and drink, everything included.”

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you move?
“Miami. I like the life in the United States and the Latin culture is great in Miami.

What are some of your favorite movies?
“I like Gladiator and Troy and movies like that. They are motivational to me. Troy is about a guy who is a hero and he wants his name to last forever and he does whatever he needs to do to accomplish that.”

What is the hardest part about playing tennis?
“It’s a lot of work. It’s really hard when you work and work and put everything into it and things don’t go the way you want it. We worked hard for six months to play the season, and I can’t play right now and it is tough.”

Which Horned Frog has the best chance to win American Idol?
“Oh my gosh, I don’t know. Maybe Will [Stein] singing some country music.”

Who is the best dressed Horned Frog?
“I try to dress nice. We all look pretty good. Nick [Chappell] is the worst, because he will go out and play with a red sock and a black sock. He’s a mess.”
