FORT WORTH, Texas – The No. 51 TCU men’s tennis team will continue its California road trip by heading to Berkeley to take on No. 14 Cal on Tuesday, Mar. 11 at the Hellman Tennis Complex

The Horned Frogs (7-4) are facing their sixth ranked opponent this season and fourth in a row as they faceoff with the Golden Bears at 1:30, PST, tomorrow.

TCU Noteables
TCU is coming off a 4-2 victory of No. 32 Pepperdine on Saturday – the team’s second upset victory this season over a nationally ranked opponent. The team recorded their seventh doubles point in a row this season, while junior Arnau Dachs defeated a ranked opponent for the second time in the last three matches.

Dachs continues to lead the team with an 8-2 record in singles dual matches. No. 52 Nick Chappell leads the team at No. 1 singles with a 6-3 record, while No. 93 Facundo Lugones is 4-3. Lugones clinched the match for the Frogs on Saturday night by coming back after being down 3-0 in the second set to win six straight games for the match.

Chappell pairs up with Will Stein, as the duo are ranked No. 18 in the country with a 5-3 record. Dachs and Trey Daniel are 7-1 at No. 2 doubles for the team lead, while Lugones and Hudson Blake are 4-0 are No. 3 doubles.

Scouting the Golden Bears
Cal is coming off the Pacific Coast Doubles Championship and a 7-0 victory over No. 39 Stanford. Campbell Johnson leads the team in singles action and is tied at No. 56 in the ITA singles poll with a 15-6 overall record. The Golden Bears’ No. 1 singles player, Ben McLachlan, is ranked No. 70 with a 3-4 record, while Fillip Bergevi rounds out the ranked singles players at No. 86. McLachlan and Andre Goransson are 2-2 on the season in doubles play and ranked No. 54 in the national poll.

All-Time Series Records
Cal holds a 5-1 record in the all-time series, including a close 4-3 win over TCU last spring in Fort Worth. The Golden Bears have won the last four meetings, with the Frogs only win coming in 2001, when TCU defeated Cal 5-1 at home.
