FORT WORTH – TCU’s men’s tennis team continues its six-match homestand Tuesday when it plays host to San Diego at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

First serve is set for 5:30 p.m. on the Bartzen Varsity Courts. The 36th-ranked Horned Frogs are 12-5 on the year and dropped a 4-3 decision to No. 24 California on Sunday. No. 38 San Diego is 11-5 and dropped Oklahoma State, 4-3, in its last time on the court.

TCU is facing the Toreros for the eighth time in its history and second time in the last three years. The Frogs won the first six meetings in the series before dropping a 6-1 decision in San Diego in 2011.

Arnau Dachs has been TCU’s top performer in singles this spring, racking up a 12-3 mark with most of his matches from the No. 2 position. Nick Chappell has come on as of late with wins over the No. 34- and No. 57-ranked singles players in his last two matches.

In doubles, sophomores Chappell and Will Stein have moved up to No. 64 in the ITA doubles rankings. The duo is 9-4 this spring and 5-4 since facing tough opponents from the No. 1 position. Dachs and Orlando Superlano lead TCU at 8-3 from their No. 3 spot.

USD’s Clarke Spinosa in the lone Torero in the ITA singles rankings, checking in at No. 94. The Torerors do not have any teams ranked in the ITA doubles rankings. New rankings, team and individual, will be released Tuesday afternoon prior to the match.
