FORT WORTH – TCU’s men’s tennis team closes a six-match homestand Saturday when it hosts Memphis and UT-Pan American at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

First serve against the No. 34 Tigers is set for 1 p.m. TCU will then face UTPA at 5 p.m. The No. 36-ranked Horned Frogs are 13-5 on the year. Memphis is 7-6 and dropped a 5-0 decision to Baylor on Thursday. The Broncs are 6-12 overall.

The matchup with Memphis will be just the third all-time between the two schools. TCU has claimed victories in each of the previous two (2000, 2005). The Frogs are 8-1 in their history against UTPA, including wins in the last seven meetings. The two schools last played in 2011.

Chappell is 5-8 this spring, playing all of his matches from the No. 1 position. Dachs is 13-3, including a 4-2 mark over ranked opponents. Senior Orlando Superlano has a 14-3 record.

Chappell and sophomore Will Stein make up the nation’s 79th-ranked doubles tandem with a 10-4 record during the spring. Superlano and Dachs, TCU’s No. 3 duo, are 9-3 and have won five-straight matches.

For Memphis, Jphnny Grimal is ranked 110th, representing the Tigers’ lone ranked singles player. No doubles teams are ranked for the Tigers. UTPA does not have any ranked singles or doubles players.
