Four Selected for NCAAs

FORT WORTH, Texas – Four TCU men’s tennis players earned a bid to the 2017 NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis Singles and Doubles Championships that will be held from May 24-29 at the Dan Magill Tennis Center in Athens, Ga.

Junior Cameron Norrie earned the No. 1 overall seed in the singles bracket and will compete in the championship for the third straight season. With the seed in the tournament, Norrie automatically earns All-America honors and becomes the fourth Horned Frog to earn singles All-America honors on three occasions. Alex Rybakov, who is currently ranked No. 20, earned an at-large bid in the bracket and his selection marks the second straight in his career.

Reese Stalder and Jerry Lopez round out the selections as the duo were picked as an at-large team in the NCAA Doubles Championship. The pair become the 33rd duo in program history to be selected for the doubles championship and the first since 2015.

All four competitors will open postseason by taking part in the team competition starting on May 12, as TCU will host Florida State, Arkansas and Jackson State in the first and second rounds of the NCAA Championship.
