FORT WORTH, Texas - Riding a 14-match winning streak and sweeping the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles for the second straight year, the No. 6 TCU men's tennis team will open postseason by hosting the 2017 NCAA Men's Tennis First and Second Rounds from May 12-13 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

The Horned Frogs (19-4) will face Jackson State (8-20) in the opening round of the Fort Worth Regional at 2 p.m., on Friday. The other first round match will feature No. 33 Florida State (17-11) and No. 36 Arkansas (16-12) with the two teams facing off at 11 a.m. The winners of each match will move into the second round which will take place at 2 p.m., on Saturday with the victor earning a spot in the NCAA Championship Team Finals that will be held at the Dan Magill Tennis Center in Athens, Ga., from May 18-23.

NCAA First & Second Rounds Schedule
Friday, May 12
Round 1: Florida State vs Arkansas - 11 AM
Round 1: TCU vs Jackson State - 2 PM

Saturday, May 13
Round 2: Winner of 1st match vs Winner of 2nd match: 2 PM

Tickets to the first and second-round matches can be purchased in advance by calling the TCU ticket office at 817-257-3764 or at Tickets also will be available for purchase on match days at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center beginning one hour before match time.

Free for children under age two

Clear Bag Policy
Only the following items will be permitted upon entrance into TCU athletics facilities:
-Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceeding 14 inches by 14 inches
-One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
-One unopened bottle of water
-Small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the venue with one of the clear plastic bags
-The Small clutch bags must be approximately the size of a hand 
-Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at stadium/arena gates
-Backpacks, diaper bags and other similar bags will not be allowed

TCU Notables
After starting the season 2-2, TCU has won 17 of its last 19 matches including a victory in the last 14 straight matches. For the first time in program history, the Frogs went undefeated in Big 12 action as they secured three sweeps and two 4-1 victories on their way to a second straight regular season conference title. The team also captured the tournament title for the second straight season and became the first team since 2009 to sweep both titles in back-to-back seasons.

Cameron Norrie became the first TCU player since 1996 to achieve the No. 1 ranking in the Oracle/ITA singles poll to lead TCU and is 18-1 on the season and 16-1 against ranked opponents. Norrie captured the Most Outstanding Player honors at the Big 12 Championship to become the first player in conference history to garner the honor in back-to-back seasons.

Alex Rybakov checks in at No. 20 and is riding a team-best 18-match winning streak in singles action with 10 wins over ranked foes. Guillermo Nuñez and Jerry Lopez round out the singles rankings at No. 83 and No. 114, respectively.

In doubles action, TCU has won the doubles point in 19 matches this season and has four ranked doubles teams. Reese Stalder and Jerry Lopez lead the way at No. 25 with 10 wins on the season and four over ranked opponents. Lopez pairs with Cameron Norrie for a No. 36 rankings, while Stalder and Trevor Johnson sit at No. 48. Nuñez and Rybakov lead the team with 13 wins this season and round out the rankings at No. 57.
