Preview: #Big12XC Championship

FORT WORTH – The TCU men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete in the Big 12 Cross Country Championship on Saturday, Oct. 28, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas.

The conference meet starts at 9 a.m. CT with the men’s 8000m race, followed by the women’s 6000m at 10 a.m. will live stream both events.

The Field
The women’s field is led by No.23 ranked and defending Big 12 Champion Iowa State. Oklahoma State and Baylor are both receiving votes in the most recent coaches poll. On the men’s side, No.10 Oklahoma State leads the field, followed by No.23 Iowa State and No.24 Texas.

TCU This Season
2016 Big 12 Cross Country bronze medalist Brenley Goertzen has led the women’s team the last two meets, finishing second at the Texas A&M Invitational and 20th at the Joe Piane Invitational. The women’s team finished third overall in College Station.
