Lacey Escamilla enters her second season as a graduate assistant at TCU in 2018-19. In her first season, the Frogs had arguably their most successful season since joining the Big 12 with 23 wins, three weeks in the top-25 rankings and a WNIT Semifinal appearance.

Escamilla comes to Fort Worth after serving as an assistant coach for two seasons at Texas A&M-Commerce.

During her two seasons with Division II Texas A&M-Commerce, the Lions had eight All-Lone Star Conference selections, two All-Defensive Team selections, a Freshman of the Year and a winning percentage of .621, including a 20-win season in 2016-17.

Prior to her time as an assistant coach, Escamilla worked with the Fresno State women's basketball program from 2011 to 2015 in various roles, including team manager and administrative assistant. Two of those seasons (2012-14) coincided with Raegan Pebley's time as the Bulldogs' head coach.

The Oxnard, Calif., native earned her Bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Fresno State in 2013. She also owns an Associate's degree in liberal arts from Ventura Junior College where she was a member of the Pirates' 2010 State Championship team.
