CHICAGO, Ill. - For the second Sunday in a row, the TCU Lady Frogs (9-11, 2-5 C-USA) tried to come from behind to get the win. DePaul (16-6, 5-2 C-USA) kept just far enough ahead of the Frogs to stay undefeated at home with the 76-68 victory. Junior Ebony Shaw and sophomore Sandora Irvin kept TCU in the game during the second half as the duo scored 25 of the 42 TCU points.

Powered by strong shooting in the first half, DePaul bounded to a 44-26 lead at halftime. The Blue Demons shot 60.7% on all field goals (17-of-28), and 66.7% from three-point range (6-of-9) and the charity stripe. The Lady Frogs struggled in the first period, hitting just one-third of their field goal attempts (10-of-30) and on 1-of-8 three-point shots. Two DePaul players, Sarah Kustok and Jenni Dant, were in double-figures by the end of the first half with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The Lady Frogs rallied in the second half to battle back from a 21-point deficit with 16 second-stanza points from Shaw. TCU cut the Blue Demon lead to six several times in the last two minutes of play, but could not get over the hump.

Shaw led all scorers with 21 points in the loss. Irvin posted her seventh double-double of the season with 15 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Frogs are at home next week for a single game versus C-USA travel partner Houston on Sunday, Feb. 9. The game will celebrate Girls and Women in Sports Day and will be shown on the metroplex's KFWD-TV (Ch. 52) live at 2:00 p.m.
