TCU head coach Jeff Mittie
"I was concerned coming into this game because I felt the team wasn't mentally sharp. We had some breakdowns out there but had some great hustle, which was a great correlation of how the team feels about each other. I thought they played extremely hard."
On the emotional aspect of the game:
"It was a great way to see it (Daniel-Meyer Coliseum) off and I thought we played extremely well against a very talented Oklahoma team. I thought LT (Latricia Lovings) did what she always does tonight and it was great to see them connect on that last play. It's two seniors and the last play of the regular season at home and I just thought it was a good performance."
Junior guard Natalie Ventress
On the team's effort on Senior Night:
"We really wanted to get this for our seniors and beat OU and our last home game at the DMC before it gets torn down. We were all tearing up after the game."
Senior guard Alexann Yancey:
On scoring the final points of the contest:
"I was saying prayers the whole way but it felt great to have the last play at our home game at the DMC."
Sophomore guard Veja Hamilton
On the emotions of Senior Night:
"We just wanted to close it out right for the seniors and for the team. They've been a big part of the team and are family to us so it was important to go out there and get the win."
Senior center Latricia Lovings:
On winning her final home game:
" We played in the mindset that we were going to win and everyone was emotional because we are such a tight team. We were a little frustrated before because we were really emotional about the last game together, especially in the DMC."
On the final scoring play between seniors Meagan Henson and Alexann Yancey:
"It was great. We work on that stuff during practice all the time and to see them connect like that at the end of the game, I was already crying."
