FORT WORTH, Texas - Sophomore guard Zahna Medley tallied a game-high 23 points as the TCU women's basketball team defeated Southern Arkansas by a score of 76-45 in Monday's exhibition contest at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

The Springfield, Ill., native drained four 3-pointers on nine attempts while going 9-of-11 from the free-throw line to go with three assists and three steals in 30 minutes of action.

Senior center Latricia Lovings joined Medley in double figures with 14 points while pulling down eight rebounds and swatting three shots in just 23 minutes of play. Lovings was an efficient 5-of-7 from the field and 4-of-4 from the charity stripe.

Lovings and freshman center Klara Bradshaw teamed up to push TCU out to a quick 6-0 lead to open the contest. On the game's second possession, Bradshaw dished to Lovings for the layup and the senior returned the favor on the next possession. On the following trip down the floor, Lovings found Bradshaw once again and she was able to convert a pair of free throws.

After trailing 9-0 to start the game, Southern Arkansas pulled back to within four points at 22-18 midway through the first half before the Horned Frogs found a rhythm and put together a 10-0 run, capped by a Bradshaw layup with 2:15 remaining to push out to a 32-18 advantage.

TCU dominated the paint in the opening frame, as Lovings and Bradshaw combined for 15 points and 16 rebounds in the first 20 minutes.

The second half belonged to Medley, who quickly built on TCU's 36-26 halftime advantage with her third 3-pointer of the game for a 43-28 TCU lead.

Junior guard Donielle Breaux pushed TCU's lead out to 20 points for the first time with a triple and Medley drained another trey with 13:08 remaining as the Frogs held a 52-28 advantage.

In all, Medley had 11 points in the opening 11 minutes of the second half as TCU outscored the Muleriders by a 26-4 margin en route to a 62-30 advantage.

Bradshaw, a native of Emory, Texas, finished with nine points, nine rebounds, three assists and three blocks in 24 minutes off a 3-of-4 effort from the field and a 3-of-5 performance from the free-throw line.

Junior guard Natalie Ventress added nine points and six boards while Breaux tallied eight points, four rebounds and a game-high four steals.

Sophomore guard Veja Hamilton also posted an all-around performance with eight rebounds, three assists and three steals in 22 minutes.

TCU's defense limited Southern Arkansas to a 31-percent shooting performance (17-of-55), including a 24-percent clip (6-of-25) in the second half, while forcing 27 turnovers.

The Frogs outscored the Muleriders 34-14 in the paint while dominating the rebounding battle by a 55-31 margin.
