Texas A&M-TCU
Dec. 2, 2007
Fort Worth, Texas--Daniel-Meyer Coliseum

Head Coach Jeff Mittie
Opening Statement
"I thought it was a good, hard fought basketball game. Both teams had a lot of athletes out there. It is probably the most physical game that we have had since the LSU game. When you are playing them, you know they are going to pressure you all over the place. That first ten minutes of the second half, we just didn't play very well. But, we fought back hard and got it back to where we were a possession or two away, so I am certainly pleased with our fight in that stretch."

On what he takes from today's game
"We shot the ball better in the second half. We had some players do some good things, like Lorie (Butler-Rayford) and Mo(neka) Knight. Adrianne (Ross) had a tough day but we found some offense without her. I was proud of our team for fighting back."

On the play of TCU center Micaela Younger
"Her two best games have been at LSU and today. Micki is a physical post player that we felt like might have some success. She went in and had some success and our players did a good job of getting her the ball. She did a good job of taking over."

"I think she likes the physical play. She is able to know where her players are. She got a rhythm tonight and we got her the ball where she could catch and go score."

Junior center Micaela Younger
On her 21-point performance
"I practiced my play for two days straight, and it just became natural during the game. I guess lady luck was with me today."

On how this game helps the future of the team
"With the work that we put in, it definitely boosts our confidence. Its just a matter of tightening up our offense and defense a little bit."

Texas A&M Head Coach Gary Blair
On the offensive performance
"It was hunt and peck on offense against that wide 3-2 zone. They beat us with the zone two years ago, and the difference today is that we shot the ball a whole lot better."

On the defensive game plan
"We didn't want to get into a full court press, because we feel their best offense is the transition game. We wanted to make sure they were going to have to beat us from the half court, and I think we did a pretty good job with our half court defense."
